Last year was all about turning ambition into action, and together with our global community, we made strong progress in accelerating the transition to smarter and more sustainable freight transport. In the report, you’ll find key milestones from 2025, the impact we achieved together with our members and partners, highlights from our work across regions, and what’s ahead for 2026. What makes us most proud is the collaboration behind every achievement. The progress we see today is the result of companies, partners, and stakeholders working together toward a shared goal.
The global transport sector remains hard to abate, requiring deep systemic changes in energy and fuel infrastructure. Even so, shippers, carriers, and logistics networks are staying the course, investing in solutions and fuels to drive lasting change.

Smart Freight Week 2025 | Amsterdam
Smart Freight Week 2025 marked the fourth and largest edition yet. With 850+ attendees representing 50+ nationalities, the energy, collaboration, and commitment to accelerating freight decarbonization were truly inspiring. Over three days, industry leaders and experts have engaged in 63 sessions, tackling key challenges, sharing solutions, and shaping the future of sustainable logistics.
Academy - Educating Towards Zero Emissions
The Smart Freight Centre Academy is the knowledge and education hub of Smart Freight Centre. Over the course of 2025, the SFC Academy trained 600+ people from more than 200 companies. Additionally, 14 new training courses were launched, introducing function specific training for procurement, sales and finance teams and custom training created by the Academy was delivered globally in multiple languages. Partnerships with like-minded organizations expanded the reach of our courses further enabling us to raise the bar on knowledge, globally.
Membership: Making Impact Through the SFC Membership
The SFC Membership Program brings together leading companies with a shared commitment to accelerate logistics decarbonization. Over the course of 2025, we reached a milestone, surpassing 200 members, a sign of the strength of our community, and the power of collaborative action. The SFC Membership enables organizations to move from ambition to action by providing access to our global and regional communities, exchanging best practices, aligning and adopting harmonized methodologies and standards for calculation and reporting and peer-driven collaborative action initiatives.
